BACK TO VIDEO EDITING.
I would say I’m about 85% through editing all of the videos I have recorded over the past 2 years documenting the SEX-ED journey. It’s actually a super big job that I didn’t really account for when I started filming and collecting tapes. There’s approx 50 hours of footage I’ve been sorting through, picking the best and most entertaining moments highlighting our musical excursion thus far. I have yet to rip into the HD footage however. HD was what a large percentage of Vol.1 was captured with.

Maybe I’ll leave my house and go on an “artistic adventure” tonight!!

I once was told Radiohead released a version of this video where it explains the ending….this is probably not true. Regardless, this video is CRRRRAZY.
They consist primarily of equilateral triangles and squares with toothed, hinged, and interlocking edges. The basic triangle and square shapes are further modified by having a number of different face styles, including holes or extended sockets that allow them to connect face-to-face. The toys can be attached to one another to build three-dimensional creations, with the edges either remaining rigid or being allowed to swivel.
Zaks were manufactured through the late 1980s and early 1990s, production is now discontinued. They found some success, and can still be found for sale used.

The first MSTRKRFT album was significant to me cuz I listened to it like crazy while managing a Men’s clothing store called Jaisel. It’s pretty much on Whyte Ave in Edmonton. I blasted that record so loud every morning while opening the store! That and Lupe Fiasco – Food and Liquor – BUT ANYWAY – during this brief managerial stint in retail, I developed a fondness and respect for their production style, and execution.

Overall I’m bias on the new album cuz I spent so much time with the old that I feel the new one could never live up to nor surpass for memories sake.
But I recognize the progression they have made. *CATCHY MELODIES/POP ARRANGEMENT* (on most tracks)

So apparently Akon has pioneered new software that will validate and grade any song you submit up against the top 100 Billboard Hits of the last 6 years. It will let you know if your song is a “hit!”

Not bad, all you have to do is pay $30/song. Too expensive you say? WHAT ARE YOU CHEAP???!!! This is Akon after all! His advice is worth that much! Don’t even think it’s not…..The man has consulted Gwen Stefani, Chad Kroeger, and Kardinal Offishall! THAT GIRL IS SO DANGEROUS!!!!!

I spent some time messing around with photoshop and the logo today while Anthony was re-building our main production computer. I kinda dig this color scheme for it, but I don’t think it matches the blog very well. Plus, the font on “blog” needs some work…..this makes me sad…..
What is the best blog hookup? WordPress? Blogger? BlogsandJogs?

We picked up an ADD today on THE RADIO!!!
Although Vancouver’s THE BEAT 94.5 gave us an excellent feature last week, the first station to officially ADD a SEX-ED track into rotation is KOOL FM in Victoria! They will go down in history as the first radio station ever to enroll in SEX-ED! WAY TO GO!! (not sure if I’m talking to them, or us)…

Maybe I’m starting to get better at blogging…I’m not super sure tho :(
At first I thought I was kinda hard, because who the hell has time to sit at a computer for 30+ minutes a night and come up with shit to talk about that (let’s be honest) no one is really going to read?
Then there is the issue of WHAT to blog – how much personal info to make public? How many posts per day are acceptable? Does anyone really give a shit?
Then the strangest thing happens…..someone approaches you and says “hey I saw that thing you posted on your blog”.
And it all makes sense. Everything you have worked for. All the digging you have done. All the blood, sweat and tears (good band) being cleansed from your body, just to hear that someone actually took the time to read it.
This is just the beginning tho! – You just wait! Wait until the design of this site becomes more pleasing to thine eye. Wait until we start releasing bi-monthly videos chronicling our journey of life. Wait until you become reliant on this information, as if you cannot continue your day until you get a fix of what we have to say. I’m practicing right now for those moments…..and something tells me they will be here soon.
Kanye West, doesn’t really blog, so much as just post pictures/trailers/mp3′s of cool shit. He’ll post every once in a while (ALL CAPS) for good measure, but the amount of updates V.S. the amount of work he prolly has to get done in a day V.S. the amount of stuff he actually types himself, leads me to believe that there is most likely some dude being paid minimum wage to update his site constantly.
Well, here at SEX-ED, we are more AUTHENTIC than that! There is no one but myself (and Anthony, and Farshad) to do updates. So you recieve these posts straight from the soul. OUR SOUL.
