I think this alternate use of cg and real models blurs the line between them while watching. although i have to agree, even the cg dinos do look amazingly real and i've been wondering why they look so fake in other movies (eg.: King Kong, Land of the Lost...) in jurassic park a combination of cg and animatronics were used (the making of is really good).
