Do you think it’s right to assume that if you really care about something, you’ll try for it?
It doesn’t matter if it’s a pet, a project, a passion, or a lover…Would it not be safe to assume that the effort you put in reflects how you feel about this particular thing/person, and ultimately will determine it’s outcome?
I feel like I’m one of those people who have really good intuition….not only that, but I believe I’m blessed with eternal optimism….It’s weird, because lots of people get hung up on certain things that prevent them from living their lives. I COMPLETELY identify with that mentality, but I know better then to let it control me.
Do you ever find yourself not wanting to admit a truth even though the results keep speaking otherwise?
Accepting a certain fate, so to speak.
It’s like you know what’s going to happen, but you’re doing your best to prolong to inevitable.
H8 THAT FEELING.
If you feel like you want to accept what’s happening – just make the decision no matter how difficult….although this is easier said than done when it’s something that sucks (like heartbreak). We have the power to direct our lives, no matter how much it may temporarily hurt.
I believe there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
I read in this Buddha book that the reason people are unhappy is because they attach themselves to things. Realistically, everything must end, whether it’s a moment, a feeling, or a person and therefore allowing yourself to become infatuated or attached to ANYTHING is a bad decision. But sometimes other people can be so amazing that it’s worth sacrificing the inevitable sadness to try and prolong it as much as possible.
So what exactly will make you put in the effort?…..or should you just accept the fate?

So we’ve been cookin’ up this dope remix that will be done by next week….problem is, the lyrics don’t make ANY SENSE.
It’s catchy tho!
I don’t think anyone has EVER questioned a hit song that didn’t make any sense but was catchy. THINK ABOUT IT -
Ya’ll remember D4L (aka Down4Life)?
WTF is this song about anyway?
Um, apparently this song took like 20 minutes to make and now they’re all rich from the RINGTONE SALES!
PERSONALLY, I kinda dig it when a song isn’t “trying too hard” to make sense.
I’m excited to release our new remix however….in truth, it should have come out a long time ago, but we got sidetracked. I hope ya’ll like it too !
Next up…VIDEOS that MAKE NO SENSE

Label: Phenomenom
Honestly, it’s cool cuz I’ve never seen it done before, however it walks a fine line between progressively experimental and tacky.

We here at H-O-T-L-I-N-E and SEX-ED are mega excited! Next week, our SUPER FRIEND Sherry St. Germain goes to radio! Her first single is called GET STONED!
She will be playing on the radio everywhere (starting in Canada) if all goes well. She’s already been killing the Edmonton air-waves where she’s garnered over 300 spins on the new radio station Hot 107 (who were just named best station in North America).
Hot 107 Program Director Russell James goes on to say:
“Sherry defies all things average…her music is beyond cutting edge…her voice is stunning and songwriting, epic. “Get Stoned” is one the best radio songs I have ever heard….we play it in heavy rotation on the new Hot 107 in Edmonton, and it continues to be one of the most asked about songs by both listeners and industry people.”
Sherry is mega talented!
Check out her dope rendition of Radiohead’s RECKONER!
If you dig her, make your way over to CDBaby or Itunes, and buy her new album Kick Out The Lights!

Okay Okay, so for those who don’t know, I am OBSESSED with video games. I’ve been studying EGM and Gamepro since my parents graced me with Mario/Duck Hunt for my 5th Bday, and I pride myself with secretly knowing the ins and outs of the videogame industry. If I didn’t love music so much, I would probably work for a gaming company. Infact, when I was 15, I showed up on Bioware’s doorstep in Edmonton and asked for a job.

That said, when Playstation first came out, I was a H8ER! I had an N64, and my loyalty to Nintendo blinded me from the mad amount of dope games that Sony was rocking at the time. That all changed when my best friend Nathan got a PS1 for his Bday and I played a demo od PARAPPA THA RAPPA.
This suddenly changed my world….and keep in mind, it was only a demo. The other game his parents bought was Coolboarders 2, which at the time was pretty cool, but now….not so much.
SO, for my upcoming bday, I pursuaded my Dad to buy me a PS1. HE DID, and showed up with a brand new wrapped copy of Crash Bandicoot.

FUCK THAT SHIT – That game is LAME.
I promptly returned to the store and purchased a double disced copy of a game that would shape and change my young adolescents. Resident Evil 2.

THIS GAME WAS (IS) CRAZY!
Nathan and I had (reluctantly) played Resident Evil 1 for the first time ever only a couple weeks prior and this game had JUST HIT THE SHELVES.
Better Graphics! New Locations! Scarier monsters!
This was what Resident Evil was all about, and benchmarked a completely new gaming experience for the survival horror genre. This game was ACTUALLY SCARY to play…well, I was like 13 or 14, but still.
During that summer, we brought the PS1 to Nathan’s lake cabin in Saskatchewan and played this game at night.
I’m attaching a couple you tube vids of the lead up to the final boss in the game. I distinctly remember finally beating him shortly after midnight. All the lights were turned out as Nathan, Chris and I were glued to the television….
Isn’t it funny how whenever you go to a new location, it switches to the door opening screen (to load the next level)? I thought it created suspense at the time, but it was probably just implemented because of technical limitations…ANYWAY – Here is a vid depicting the FINAL BOSS. Skip to the 6:00 minute mark to watch it all go down.
Whoever is playing knows what’s up, but it’s kinda cheap that he has an unlimited rocket launcher. It was mos def not that easy when I played it, and fighting zombies on fixed camera angles is a bitch…whatevs….I’ll always love you Resident Evil 2.

You may not have heard America, but you have HEARD America.
They’re the classic band that seem to have written a song for every situation. Whether you’re travelling open highway, reminiscing about lovers past, trying to seduce someone, or riding on a horse in a desert, America has a SONG 4 YOU!
Lets start with arguably their biggest hit – Ventura Highway. Picture it! You’re ripping down the the open road with the sun (or a joint) blazing.
I think Janet Jackson ripped the riff…it was THAT DOPE.
Alright, you just got out of your car at the nearest equestrian center. You’re planning on going for a bit of a horse back ride….AMERICA HAS THE PERFECT TRACK FOR THAT TOO!
I think they got some flack on this one cuz the singer was really biting Neil Young’s style.

But fuck em….this song is crazy and I wouldn’t wanna ride my horse to anything else!
===
Uh Oh, you’ve just been dumped by the love of your life….unable to comprehend the pain, you’re beside yourself with emotion.

AMERICA HAS A SONG FOR THAT!
And finally, you have this super hot chick (or dude) over to your place. Normally, at this point you would be rocking some Sade, Anita Baker, or possibly New Kids on The Block….throw all that out the WINDOW.
Throw in this jam!
Ok…..so i couldn’t get the original version – but don’t let the dude’s accent singing this put you off. Singing about Muskrat’s hooking it up is a total musical aphrodisiac!
America have proved their staying power decades later, and are inspiring because of it!
Good job, America!

It might look like a futuristic version of a regular bike, but it is actually the world’s first e-motorbike that you are allowed to ride on the street. The bike comes with a patented aluminum frame and can go with one battery load (1 hours charging time) above 45 km/h for 40 kilometers. The bike is handmade in Germany, using eurofighter plane parts and formula one parts and will be coming out this month. The frame is basically indestructible and all controls are included in the handlebars, such as lights, battery management, alarm system and everything else one could need. The battery is integrated into the frame.
