I think making a documentary on music (ROCKUMENTARY) is a difficult and personal thing IF the desired effect is to be timeless and revealing (much like making a great song).
The question is, how personal do you wanna go? Do you want people to know EVERYTHING, and then risk having more h8ers, than fans?
Remember Metallic’s Some Kind of Monster?
To me, it exposed the fact that Metalllica have endured some major trials over the course of their lengendary career. It also revealed that Dave Mustaine is really emotional, Lars has a Dad that looks like Gandalf, and that James can’t really sing without some major pro-tools pitch correction.
Still love you Metallica.
Out of all of the ROCKUMENTARIES, my personal favorite is DIG.
Dig is dope because it was shot over a 7 year period and documented rival bands The Dandy Warhols, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
It was stunning to witness such a talented dude (BJM singer Anton Newcombe) literally destroy every opportunity that was given to him. Bonus points when he fights his band at a showcase!
Anyway, the reason I was pondering all of this is because we here at SEX-ED have MOUNTAINS of footage we are readying for release. Altho it documents some pretty crazy shit that has happened during the past couple years, I sometimes think I should throw Farshad through a window or something just to give it that extra edge.
Or maybe I’ll light Anthony’s pro-tools gear on fire…..during a showcase……
Wouldn’t it be perfect for our ROCKUMENTARY?

WOAH!DIY BASS TRAPS – ANTHONY BUILDS SOUND ABSORBERS!

The primary ingredient in sound absorbing goodness – Roxul Safe and Sound Insulation… available at your local home depot!
Here I’m assembling the back frame out of wood… screw, staple, nail and glue.. whatever holds it together. Size is totally up to the builder’s preference.
Cutting wood with a small knife saw is laborious (sic)…. Use a power tool if available!
After the frame is solid, black burlap is attached (stapled) to create a back surface for the sound absorber.
This picture shows the guts of the bass trap design. A large piece of black burlap is laid on the floor followed by insulation cut to size and laid on top. The backer frame is then rested on top of the insulation and the burlap (from the floor) is pulled up tight and stapled to the wooden frame.
Here the trap is almost complete. It takes a bit of tweaking to get the burlap even and tightly stapled. Note: You’ll most likely end up trimming off excess fabric to get everything looking neat.. For full details, check out this dude’s DIY video on Youtube (this is what inspired me) :

I googled “bad hearing” and found this guy on the internet.
Here is what he writes about himself:
This is me, Hubertus Fremerey (pronounced “frame-a-rye”), born 1940, having spent most of my life in Bonn, Germany, where I live today as a single man with bad hearing but (mostly) good temper.
While I was interested in philosophical things from youth, I never studied philosophy formally, but became a mathematical physicist and worked in industry, developing computer-programs.
Because of this background — and since several of my male relatives were high ranking officers or full professors or higher civil-servants, I always was very aware of “responsibility of those in charge”. From this I got interested in those philosophical problems that concern law and the state, and public, economic and social order. This explains my constant interest in the topic of “What makes a good society today?”, where I try to combine philosophical with political, historical, economical, social and technical questions.
All things combined I see myself as a pragmatist, asking for the practical origins and consequences of philosophical arguments.

It’s the Yamaha cp70. It’s dope. You probably know it best from the rock band Keane.

So it’s officially been like 3 months since I got a haircut, but that got me thinking. What if one day I wake up, and don’t actually need a haircut? OR WORSE – what if I wake up, and ONLY the back of my head needs a haircut (via the Skullett)…
It’s true! One of man’s worse fears is going bald. And rightfully so….your hair is your power! (just ask Samson from Biblical times in Judges 16:1-31)
The question is, what do you do when you start to lose it all?
The number one thing is to ACCEPT YOUR FATE, and then learn how to ROCK IT.
There are many different styles you can showcase.
The most obvious is the combover.
Maybe you don’t want to lose everything all at once!
Listen – it may be hard to fathom, but I recommend just shaving it alllll off!…otherwise, you can end up looking downright “dreadful”. (LOL PUN)
You could spearhead something really cutting edge! This guy is NOT pulling that off BTW.
Keep in mind, the “Rocky Horror” is an iconic look!
If it’s just in the front, and you’re still sporting a large golden maine, you could substitute the missing hair under your nose! (handle bar stache not included)
Just try not to look like an asshole.
First hand experience.
It’s really all about your attitude (as is everything in life I think)
That said, some people will go to whatever lengths necessary to get it back!
For all the dudes going bald, this is your inspiration.
