IS THE WORLD FALLING APART?

So today, I received a call from my close friend Sherry St Germain urging me to “head for higher ground”. She also recomended I purchase a life raft of some sort…In case you hadn’t heard, a Tsunami warning was issued across the pacific coast due to the Earthquake that happened yesterday in Chile.
All these recent catastrophic occurrences are kinda starting to freak me out. To make matters worse, my sexy GF is in Japan at the moment where the warning was also issued….
Check out this video. It gives a good idea of what a Tsunami looks like, but kinda misses the mark of how serious a giant surge of water can be in the music department.
this video however, has a decidedly DARKER tone to it
Regardless, I can’t help but feel a loss of control when contemplating the possibilities and effects of a natural disaster. It would be completely foreign to suddenly switch into “survival mode”. Here is hoping my loved ones and I never have to.

The Olympics here in Vancouver are coming to a close after this weekend ends. I predict it will be a sobering experience for the city (literally).
I was down on Granville for a couple nights (which was insane) but in all honesty, didn’t really paint the town at all….I didn’t even drink once. Sure, it was a little tough watching the hordes of hammered hockey fans roam the downtown core in celebration – but – we’ve spent so much time in the studio recently, my Olympic participation has been limited to watching a couple snowboarding, skating and hockey highlights on TV.
Am I sad? Not a bit.
I’m thinking I’ve got this final weekend to create any Olympic memories that will haunt me for the rest of my life. At the same time, we still have a bunch of important things that need to be finished musically speaking. I can however justify taking ONE night out of this whole Olympic extravaganza to have a little fun.

W O W!
The past two weeks have been a crazy blur. We’ve been pretty much living in the studio! It’s been a m a z i n g.
Just over 14 days ago, we tackled a side chaining Dance extravaganza! It was a crash course in developing the dopest most slamming/pulsating house drums we were capable of. Mission Accomplished.
Shortly after, we pursued an opportunity to remix latest single for our friend Chin.
We decided to get a tad ambitious. LOL.
I won’t say anything else, but let the track speak for itself when it’s released in the near future.
Currently, I’m pleased to announce that we’re concentrating on finishing production for the number we started last month with the amazing KAY. I’m convinced it will become truly excellent.
Later in March, our super friend Sherry St Germain is in town which will surely yield exciting results. She is our musical muse!
Finally, we’ve been conceptualizing some really exciting stuff for ourselves which is being worked on every spare second in between the whirlwind of everything else.
So stoked about the future !

Wow, what an accomplishment!
As of today, this blog has officially racked up 500 posts. I’m proud. You should be proud too. We all should be really proud.
It’s been a wild ride!
I believe it’s safe to assume that the last 500 posts have completely transcended what people thought the blogosphere was capable of, while elevating interweb journalism to a profound new level . Collectively encompassing a zesty passion typical of a Dorritos Toritlla Chip, the previous posts were all very special in their own way. Although difficult to measure each individuals greatness, themes over the past 500 posts ranged from:
