CRAFTING THE STARS
by admin
Ok, so I’m not sure how many people read this blog that happen to be gamers, but an incredible peice of computer software was released a couple weeks ago you may have heard of called Starcraft 2.
I don’t have much time for gaming anymore, (which is probably a good thing) but I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic for the sequel to a game that may have defined and shaped my childhood.
You don’t understand! I played the original Starcraft game SO MUCH as a kid!
We would spend weekends with my best pal Ben Derosiers having Starcraft tournaments. All you needed was 2 (or more) computers, a copy of Starcraft and a giant pile of pillows that would block everyone from seeing the other players computer screen.
We once had a game that lasted 6 HOURS.
In the end, it was a draw.
Besides giving me something to do as a 13 year old on a Friday night, these intense gaming sessions expanded my abilities in base, weapon and resource micromanagement….something I think most people should include on a resume.
There’s a reason the game is a national sport in Korea!
