Attack attack is definetily one of the most needless bands out there. Luckily it isn't metal, but screamo, as is Confide.

Personally, I love most kinds of metal, including black/death metal, but I can understand why many people don't. It's not for everyone. And yes, I like some screamo, like BFMV. But most of it I find kinda pathetic.

And, of course, I like laughing at self-made Black Metal videos, like these:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5NSvtWirS4
I really don't get the wood thing...

first of all, the first kit idk but the second one is terry bozzios who "cant play medleys with 2 toms" and the third one is neil pearts, who is the same guy from the video. what you said about the last one really pisses me off. mike portnoy is the best drummer ever. his idea is "two kits in one". one metal double bass side, and another prog/experimental kit. it doesn't take an hour to setup with his drum tech.

I have one. It sounds great. I got it used around 1999 and taught myself every possible way to program it and made some really cool 4 track demos. Whoever owned it before the retail store I bought it from had put some wood screw holes in the side panels (maybe they had it mounted to a table with some brackets???). Besides the cosmetic flaw everything was great. It's a fun unit but for the last 5-6 years it has sat on the shelf in my studio. I plugged it back in to control it with Ableton and drum triggers a few weeks ago and it still sounds amazing and was a tons of fun to actually PLAY those sounds like a real drum kit! I was curious and started to attempt a little old fashioned programming only to find out it currently can't be programmed as a hardware unit for the simple fact that a couple of the smaller buttons ("save" and one of the tempo adjust) are stuck down. Electronically everything is fine but I can't seem to get those buttons to pop back up. It seems silly for me to ship it from East Coast to West Coast and back again when my only intent is to sell it to someone who really wants to use it while I keep using the sample library I've also bought. I'm about to send an email to Wine Country to see what they can do for me unless someone else wants to purchase it from me for cheaper understanding its current issue and send it to them for restoration themselves.
